Fun With Bubbles

Asa thinks it helps if you make noise while blowing bubbles:

Gymnastics!

Asa and I went to a drop-in gymnastics 'class' and he was in little boy HEAVEN! He had so much fun jumping into the foam pit, jumping on the trampoline, and running around! Mama was rewarded with a 3 1/2 hour nap that afternoon- amazing!

Grocery Store Shenanigans

See the red mark on my left cheek? I was misbehaving at the grocery store and fell out of mama's grocery cart. My face smacked the cooler of lunch meat. I've decided that next time I'll act like a civilized little boy and listen to mama when she tells me to sit down (yeah, right...).
He's fine- I'm just glad he didn't dive head first into the cement floor...

Lake Vallecito

Early this week we headed out on our first road trip with Asa. We spent several days at Lake Vallecito outside of Durango (a 7 hour car ride). Asa was a champ in the car- not a tear was shed! He napped, picked his nose, told us when he found a booger "ewwww....booger," wiped boogers on napkins, played with baby wipes, and pointed out trucks. Easily entertained! I even loaded the iPad with kid shows thinking he'd need lots of entertainment, but we never even had to use it!

Once there, we spent our time fishing:

Playing in the dirt:

Hanging out and enjoying the views:

Enjoying a campfire:

And resting:

The happy traveler:

Why?!?

How do you refrain from strangling a two year old who says "why?" in response to EVERYTHING you say?
I find myself saying "because I said so" and "because I'm your mother." I sound like my own mother! Yikes!

He's actually saying "why" as I'm taking this picture:

Baby Girl

I'm 21 weeks today, but had my 20 week checkup. Everything is looking great! She's measuring 20 weeks 5 days and all her bone measurements etc looked good. Nice and average is what we aim for! :)
After the ultrasound I had a dr appt. The nurse checked my blood pressure and weight (both fine). I then met with the dr. She asked if I had any questions/concerns. I said no. She asked if I felt the baby moving. I said yes- a lot. She asked if I had any bleeding or discomfort or anything. No. See ya in 3 weeks. I wish all dr appointments were that quick and easy.
We got some nice pictures and she turned when we asked (and nudged). Maybe she'll be cooperative as an infant too?!? :)
Yesterday, I was relaxing and she was kicking me so hard you could see my stomach moving- already at 21 wks! Tony also felt her kick for the first time yesterday which is always special.

I hope this is a picture they'll laugh at for years to come!
