Baby Girl

I'm 21 weeks today, but had my 20 week checkup. Everything is looking great! She's measuring 20 weeks 5 days and all her bone measurements etc looked good. Nice and average is what we aim for! :)
After the ultrasound I had a dr appt. The nurse checked my blood pressure and weight (both fine). I then met with the dr. She asked if I had any questions/concerns. I said no. She asked if I felt the baby moving. I said yes- a lot. She asked if I had any bleeding or discomfort or anything. No. See ya in 3 weeks. I wish all dr appointments were that quick and easy.
We got some nice pictures and she turned when we asked (and nudged). Maybe she'll be cooperative as an infant too?!? :)
Yesterday, I was relaxing and she was kicking me so hard you could see my stomach moving- already at 21 wks! Tony also felt her kick for the first time yesterday which is always special.

Young Friendship

I hope this is a picture they'll laugh at for years to come!

Halfway!

I'm 20 weeks today (5/22)! I cannot believe we're already halfway and only halfway all at the same time. I've been feeling well and really my only complaint is that I can't enjoy a beer this summer. Woe is me...

Reasons this pregnancy is better than my first:
Virtually no headaches.
I can wear comfy clothes every day because I'm not working.
I can take naps if Asa cooperates.
I'm a lot less emotional. I've still cried over nothing but not very often. :)
It's so fun to talk to Asa about babies.
I'm more comfortable because I know what to expect and feel pretty well prepared.
I'm not getting gobs of unsolicited advice from coworkers.

Reasons this pregnancy is not as great as my first:
I got bigger and, therefore, more uncomfortable earlier.
I cannot control my sweet tooth. At all.
I pee way more.
I have a two year old crawling on me at all times.
There's a real lack of enthusiasm. Sometimes I wonder if Tony remembers I'm pregnant. Don't get me wrong- he's excited about our daughter. He just neglects to ask me any questions about how I'm feeling, etc. I still love him most days.
This baby will never meet her Pok Pok and that really sucks. My daddy LOVED babies.

Here's to hoping the second half goes as smoothly as the first!

Yayas

Ever since Asa started talking, we've encouraged and helped him learn family names. Whenever we said a name, Asa would try to repeat it. Some came out clearer than others, but he usually tried. However, he has always refused to even attempt to say "Asa" ... Until now! It comes out as "Yayas," but it's a step in the right direction and oh so cute!
I'm working on getting it on video...
