16 weeks

Ignore the fact that I look mad and Asa looks scared! :)

I CANNOT believe how big I am this early. It's freaking me out and I'm embarrassed to tell people I'm only 16 weeks... :(

Big Boy Underwear

Asa got to pick out big boy underwear yesterday! We're trying our best to encourage his interest in the potty. He had several accidents, but also had several successful potty trips. I'm cautiously optimistic- I know he's pretty young but if this is our window, I'd be thrilled!

3am Phone Call

Tony and Asa called me in Venice at 3am last night (local time). It was about 7 or 8 pm in Denver. They had big news. 

Asa got on the phone and said "Hi Mommy! I potty! I potty!"

Asa went pee pee in his potty for the first time ever!!!

It was worth waking up for. He was soooo proud of himself!

Can't wait to see them tomorrow night :)

Rowing practice 

Above is a photo of the cafe where my wallet (credit cards, money, drivers license) was stolen. I no longer have a cent on me (or the ability to access any funds) while traveling abroad. I think this happened day two. Pretty awesome. All I have left is my passport. Thank God for that! (And for my mama who is paying for EVERYTHING). :) I wonder if she thinks I did this on purpose...

We had a DELICIOUS breakfast here one day. I had fried eggs on bread with this amazing Dutch cheese melted on top. It was served with a side of sweet salad of greens and shredded carrots. Yummy!

Little Butt

I feel like I'm getting fat...

We're due October 9th! I'd love to say Asa is excited to be a big brother but he really doesn't care.

We had been trying for several months without luck which was disappointing because Asa happened so quickly and spoiled us. :) Over Thanksgiving my mom asked me if I wanted her fertility God. I looked at her like she was nuts because I had no idea what she was talking about. She went and retrieved this:

This has been hanging on some wall in my parents house for as long as I can remember but I had no idea what it was. I had never bothered to ask about it. She told me it was a wedding gift and it worked for them. :)

I brought it home and BAM! First time we tried, I got pregnant! :)

My mom is now taking all the credit.
